I’m a published poet and songwriter with a strong background in education, now semi-retired and focusing on bringing my books and creative learning resources into primary schools. I’ve had 9 books published to date (with 12 written in total) and I’m passionate about helping children enjoy reading, language and storytelling through engaging, age-appropriate content.
Children’s books for Primary Schools
My children’s titles are designed to support schools looking to:
- Encourage reading for pleasure and build confidence with literacy
- Introduce poetry and creative writing in an accessible, enjoyable way
- Inspire imagination, vocabulary development and self-expression
- Support classroom themes with story-led learning opportunities
I’m keen to work with primary schools to get my books into classrooms and school libraries, and to support literacy in a way that feels fun, inclusive and motivating for pupils.
Writing support for older pupils (Intermediate level)
I’m also the author of an education-focused book, So You Wanna Be A Writer, which is well-suited to intermediate students who want structured guidance and encouragement to develop their writing skills. This can be particularly useful for schools looking to support creative writing, enrichment, or pupil voice projects.
Education experience and wider skills
Alongside my writing, I hold multiple teaching qualifications and have taught in mainstream education. I also work as an instructor at my club, delivering self-defence and Ju-Jitsu training, bringing a calm, supportive approach to confidence-building and personal development.
