Orchid Reports has been designed in collaboration with DSLs and welfare professionals within the education sector.
Orchid Reports offers students a quick and simple method of reporting any issues or incidents of concern to them, via a QR code. Examples include:
• Bullying
• Racism
• Hate Crime
• Loneliness
• Drugs
• Violence
Included in the submission, students can also book a one-to-one appointment with a DSL or a member of the welfare team.
The easy-to-use dashboard and reporting functions means that DSLs and education/welfare teams may quickly and effectively deal with issues as they arise, as well as identify trends within the data and react accordingly.
The system can report on a wide range of parameters, including:
• Year Group/Class/Course
• Gender
• Type of issue
• Date Range
• Resolved/outstanding
In addition to assisting DSLs and education/welfare teams, the reporting will help SMTs, governors and if applicable, external parties, to review student welfare provision.

British Pantomimes was born from a simple belief: that the joy of live theatre shouldn't be reserved for the lucky few who happen to live near a big regional playhouse. Founded under the Howlin' Entertainment umbrella by entertainer and producer Kev Orkian — drawing on over 30 years in live comedy, variety, and family entertainment — British Pantomimes set out to take one of Britain's most cherished theatrical traditions and put it within reach of every child, wherever they are.
What started as a passion for keeping the great British panto alive has grown into a mission-driven production company, blending classic storytelling — the booing villains, the singalongs, the 'he's behind you!' — with fresh, contemporary staging that speaks to today's young audiences. Our Pop-Up Pantomime touring format, bringing productions like Jack and the Beanstalk directly into children's hospitals, reflects that mission in its purest form: panto isn't just entertainment, it's a lifeline of laughter for children who might otherwise miss out entirely.

We believe panto works because it's participatory, silly, warm, and shared. Our aim is to protect that heritage while modernising how and where it's delivered — touring beyond traditional theatres and into schools, hospitals, community halls, and studio spaces, so that no postcode and no circumstance stands between a child and a great pantomime.

Home to over 155 species and set in 60 acres of parkland and lakes, Colchester Zoo hosts many different habitats, from the humid home of our Komodo Dragons to our very own Africa plain, Kingdom of the Wild, home to white rhino, giraffes, ostrich, zebra and kudu.
Colchester Zoo is open every day of the year except for Christmas Day. Pre-booked schools are welcome to visit on any day.
If you are visiting on a self-guided, teacher lead visit you can visit on any day that you would like. We do not limit the number of schools on any given day.
If you are interested in booking formal education sessions spaces are limited. We recommend booking as far in advance as possible to ensure availability. You can also contact the education department (01206 332511 or 01206 331292 or education@colchesterzoo.org) before making your booking to check availability on your preferred dates.

Please note that we do not bring live animals on outreach sessions.

Pop Up Play Village is an award winning mobile role play village delivering immersive, educational experiences for schools and early years settings. We work regularly with EYFS, KS1 and KS2 pupils, using carefully structured curriculum linked planning to support learning through high quality, child led imaginative play.
Our school visits transform your hall or large space into a realistic role play village where children can explore real world scenarios, develop communication skills, build confidence and deepen understanding across a wide range of curriculum areas. Learning happens naturally through play, making it engaging, meaningful and memorable for every child.
The unique open plan design of our village allows children to see and access all play areas, encouraging open ended learning, collaboration and creative thinking.
