About: Reading is the most powerful gift we can give a child yet:
❌ The average reading age of children at the end of primary school has dropped from 9 to 7
❌ Approximately 400k children in the UK do not own a single book
❌1 in 5 children in the UK are unable to read properly by age of 11 when they enter secondary school!


With all of this, it’s no surprise that up to 2.4m adults in the U.K. are unable to read. Dire state of events. The joy of good books will not only positively impact a child's literacy, academic & social mobility outcomes but will provide exposure to alternate realities, a safe way to process strong emotions, combat loneliness & reduce stress. All this whilst building life's toolkit with core values like empathy, self-discipline, compassion, emotional intelligence, self-esteem, integrity, resilience etc.

Happier Every Chapter is a monthly delivery of books, gifts and short stories which helps families, schools and other institutions responsible for children’s care to breath life into the literacy curriculum by supercharging reading for pleasure and diversity awareness. Our particular strength is curating impactful, inclusive and representative books for kids 4-14 making sure to factor in the needs of dyslexia sufferers as well as those kids whose reading age is not commensurate to their chronological age.

Our subscriptions are an excellent early intervention approach for schools & MATs to use with Pupil Premium and Looked After Kids. With our book boxes, each child:
