Catering Academy was formed in 2004 by three Founder Directors, Louise Wymer, Kevin Cannon and Stacey Rose. The three Founder Directors worked together previously for a smaller, very successful independent catering company that was acquired by a large multi national organisation. With no wish to return to the restrictive world of corporate life with individualism and personal success neither encouraged nor rewarded, the Directors decided to venture forward with their own company and Catering Academy was born. Catering Academy continues to grow solidly, year on year and in 2012 turned over in excess of £24 million. Our Area Managers look after no more than 10 contracts and each has a Support Chef Manager to aid in the running of their business. This ensures our Area Managers have the time to deliver support to Catering Academy Team Members, our Clients and customers in making a real difference to our service at each contract visit. We passionately believe in ‘personally delivering excellence’ and this is underpinned with our company values; – Passionate about fresh food and great service. We have been recognised by a number of industry bodies for delivering excellent food and service provision to the education sector. Most recently, we were awarded ‘Contract Caterer of the Year 2011’ at the EduCatering Awards and recently one of our Team Members won Catering Establishment of the Year with EduCatering magazine. – 2007 HSBC/ SKY BUSINESS Start Up Stars National Finalist Our unrestricted purchasing policy ensures our teams have access to a wide range of locally sourced and speciality foods. It also ensures that we achieve our company mandate of providing 90% fresh food in all of our contracts. We also work with one of our suppliers, Peros, to support the ‘One’ initiative by selling a large range of ‘One’ products across our contracts.

Catering Academy recognises the importance of ‘giving back’ and supports a number of charitable initiatives.
This includes supporting the NEMA Foundation by providing school children with school lunches at a school in Mozambique.
